Good News And Bad News!

Hammersmith Boxing Academy has some good news and bad news!
Bad news is the gym will be closed for the summer holidays, we will inform you of the re-opening dates in due course.
The good news is that we will be running boxing sessions on Saturday mornings but the venue has yet to be confirmed. Keep a close eye on our Facebook page and Twitter for regular updates.
Some more good news is that when we go back to the gym we will have a shiny new floor!
So keep training at home, hit the streets running and concentrate on your cardio so when we come back in September we will be ready to get straight into some bouts.

Coach Douggie’s Dream Fights..

1) ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson V Muhammad Ali:

-Tyson wins by knockout 2nd round. (Pretty much one way traffic) Rematch?  Of course!

2) Matthew Saad Muhammad (Matt Franklin) V Sergey “The Russian Wrecking ball’ Kovalev:

-Saad Muhamad wins by TKO 11th round. (Saad Muhamad roars back from a horrendous start, as per..)

3)’Smoking’ Joe Frazier V Deontay ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Wilder:

-Frazier wins UD. Joe withstands all the early bombs, and progressively grinds Wilder down.

4) David ‘The Hayemaker’ Haye V ‘Irish’ Jerry Quarry:

-‘The Hayemaker’ does his clever ‘boxing on the move’ thing and lands enough eye catching power shots to convince the judges of a wide unanimous points victory.

Quarry was ‘buzzed’ on more than one occasion but never truly discouraged.

5) ‘Marvelous’ Marvin Hagler V Nigel ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Benn: Cancelled due to Health & Safety concerns..

To be continued…
